Fuasi’s Organ Ensemble: When we were young
When We Were Young is the first record by the Fuasi Organ Ensemble, featuring Fuasi Abdul-Khaliq, Tal Balshai, Tilman Person and Gur Liraz. Built around the distinctive sound of the Hammond B3, the ensemble draws on the rich tradition of the organ quartet while bringing a contemporary, groove-driven approach.
The album consists entirely of original compositions, written by all four members of the band, reflecting their individual voices and shared musical chemistry. The Fuasi Organ Ensemble was nominated for the German Jazz Prize, establishing the group as one of the exciting voices in the contemporary organ-jazz scene.
