This evening we celebrate the 150th birthday of the great poet Rainer Maria Rilke through dialogues between his powerful, musical poetry and the finely nuanced music of jazz pianist Albrecht Gündel-vom Hofe. This evening also marks the beginning of a five-part cycle with the Poetry & Jazz Project, which will accompany Rilke’s anniversary year in 2026.

Rilke’s poetry will be recited in the original German.
