Joe Alterman is an Atlanta-born jazz pianist, composer, author, and cultural curator who combines the timeless joy of swing with youthful energy and genuine enthusiasm.

Praised by legends such as Ahmad Jamal as “a very special artist,” by Les McCann as “small—but only physically; as a person and musician, he is already a giant,” and by Ramsey Lewis as “an inspiration” whose playing is “pure joy,” Alterman has carved out a place of his own in the jazz world.
