From Living-Room Concerts to a World of Sound

Our story began in Berlin-Schöneberg with a tiny stage and a simple idea: bring live music close enough to feel every note.

A Small Room With Room for Music

In October 2024, Silent Jazz Bar opened on Naumannstraße in Berlin-Schöneberg as an intimate, living-room-style concert venue. The stage was barely big enough for a trio; the cocktail bar stood only a few steps away. That closeness was the point. We wanted musicians to play without a wall of distance between them and the people listening, and guests to feel at home while giving the music their full attention. What began as a small place to share live performances grew through the artists and neighbors who kept showing up. Today, we remain committed to those personal encounters while making space for new ways to experience and create sound, from headphone concerts to a high-end listening lounge and production opportunities that connect musicians beyond Berlin.

Close Enough to Feel Every Note

Where the Concert Becomes a Conversation

On any given evening, a trio might settle onto our tiny stage while the bartender finishes a cocktail just a few steps away. There is no distant balcony and no sharp divide between performers and listeners: you can hear the room respond to a solo, catch a musician’s smile, and find yourself talking about the set with the person at the next table. Excellent drinks invite you to linger, but the music sets the pace. That is what makes this space hard to define and easy to return to—a little concert venue, a little listening lounge, and a neighborhood gathering place where artists and audiences shape the night together.

Two Years, Many New Connections

From an intimate Schöneberg stage to a meeting place for jazz artists across borders, each step has opened up a new way to listen and collaborate.

A Space to Make and Meet

Where the Next Session Begins

The conversation no longer ends when the final set does. Berlin musicians and visiting artists meet here to exchange ideas, find collaborators, and hear where an unfamiliar approach might lead. With new possibilities for music production, sketches born across the bar can develop into sessions, recordings, and future performances. The room remains deliberately close-knit: local voices bring their own histories, international guests bring new perspectives, and everyone has space to listen before they play.

“When musicians and listeners share a room this close, every note feels like a conversation.”
